Shihan Jagat Prasad Gauchan is the first martial artist of Nepal, born in rural village in Nepal called Pakhapani Myagdi district.
He travelled to Japan for Martial Arts training which is known as the toughest and strongest Kyokushin karate with instructor Sosai Masutatsu Oyama.
Kyokushin Karate was firstly introduced in Nepal by Shihan Jagat Prasad Gauchan. He has provided hostel facility in Kathmandu for trainees. Kyokushin karate is the first martial art school for general public in Nepal.
Chairman Shihan Jagat Gauchan is the respected first martial artist who legalised martial art in Nepal and introduced the country to the outerworld through establishing Kyokushin Karate Do Association in Nepal.
